Listening- I usually have to keep my blinds closed and my window closed because the recess kids love to yell into my window. I decided to open them up today to let a little sun/fresh air in. As soon as the kids come running outside I hear "I'm batman!" and I see two little friends yelling into my window. My students are at related arts so I enjoy the peace and quiet... but these students just love to yell!
Loving- Eeeeek Valentine's Day is super close. If you know me, you know that it's hard to pull off a surprise. Well Mikel has managed to make dinner reservations to a restaurant for us and I have no idea where he's taking me. All I know is that it's yummy and it will take us a little while to get there. I am so excited! (And I can't wait to give out all of my valentine's surprises!)
Thinking- Okay weather, do you really plan on snowing this week? Like should I run to the store now for stuff I need or are you just messing around. I'm all about snow... but only once a year. Where is Spring?!?!
Wanting- Oh no. Strep Throat has hit my classroom. I really don't think that's what I have, but I know that my throat is not feeling so well. I'm hitting the Zicam Pre-Cold hard, so hoping that will help me feel better ASAP!
Needing- More time to plan... everything. I need to plan math centers, culture reviews, comprehension journals, etc. etc. etc! Life... slow down!
2 Truths and a fib:
1. FIB- I HATE mayonnaise with a passion. I gagged as I was typing it. The fact that some people dip their fries into mayo makes me question humanity. GROSS.
2. Truth- I was voted best dancer in my sorority... two years in a row. Yep. I've got moves like Jagger people.
3. Truth- I reallllllly wanted to be a pediatrician when I was in middle school. Teaching has always been in my mind too. When I was in high school I took two classes at our Applied Technology Center- one on nursing and one on early childhood education. I was selected as student of the month in my nursing class, but I couldn't handle videos of blood. Before my grandmother passed away, she told me that she thought I should be a teacher. She passed away my senior year in high school, so I became a teacher to honor her wish. Thank ya nanny for the idea, I sure do love what I do!
Well I better go pick up the kiddos from art. Cross your fingers for NO SNOW! Blah!
I'm also a Carolina blogger, from the North but not too far from you! We are out & I am watching the snow fall as we speak. I hope if you're having a snow day today, too that you're enjoying it! I'm hard to surprise, too. Somehow my mind just makes things up and then they're true - twice I just "got a feeling" that my boyfriend overseas was going to be home to surprise me - and I was right both times!!!! Product of growing up with rom-coms I suppose. ;)
