Thank goodness it's Fri-YAY!

Lord have Mercy, what a week!

I can't even begin to sum up this week, so I'm going to have to rely on my pictures to do the talking for me!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to do my Five for Friday!

I am so excited that our Donors Choose project was fully funded in less than 2 weeks! We received our iPads on Monday and the kids are LOVING it! I synced them to have all of the apps that my other iPad has, but I'm still looking for more apps. What are your favorites?

We wrapped up our community unit this week by making model buildings to create a town. I am so impressed with how well my students did. The only thing I helped them with was the hot gluing (and I've got a few burn marks to prove it). Here's our final product!

Words of wisdom: never, ever, ever plan a Project Based Learning activity and MAP Testing in the same day. This is our JUMPING FOR JOY BECAUSE MAP TESTING IS OVER picture. There were tears, there were sighs of frustration, there were utterings of "I give up!" and that was all just from me. The kids did great! But I apparently do not need to go into MAP test proctoring for a living. I've still having nightmares of clicking and dragging on a Chrome Booke.

How adorable is this little thing? Every year I talk about the capital curse and the period curse and my kids have got it badddddd this year. We needed to go back to the basics, so I saw this "Sentence Buddy" and knew I had to do it with my class. It teaches them that all sentences need a capital at the beginning (hat), a body with a noun and verb (sentence strip), and punctuation at the end (little feet). It's available to download here!

It's Friday, it's an Early Dismissal Day, but most importantly... It's FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY! I love that we live down the street from this event. We haven't missed a single one. This time I've been stalking the menus to decide what I want before going.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
