It's Fall Y'all!

I am absolutely aware that it has been fall for a couple of weeks now, but with colder temps finally arriving, I'm ecstatic. I love summer, but it's been a scorcher this year. Plus I'm ready to stop having a 300 dollar air conditioning bill (adult-ing is hard, yall).

October for me means:

If loving PSL is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

I'm joining up with Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for this month's currently!

Listening- sometimes you teach the standards, but your kids ask 12th grade kind of questions and you gotta say "lemme google that" I'm learning more about gravity so I'll be prepared for answering those "you're way too old to even wonder that" questions.

Loving- my heart is broken for my capital. Columbia, SC is completely wrecked right now because of flooding. I was just there on Friday for training and now I want to be there helping so bad. The love and support I've seen from my state this summer and now fall makes me so happy to live here. No riots, no looting, just helping one another. SC, stay strong. If you can help out in any way, please do!

Thinking- I remember when I was a first year teacher and I thought to myself "I can't wait until I've been teaching for 5 years and I can go home at a normal hour and have my life together." Ha! I was so naive. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever be truly caught up. I don't think there will ever be a time when there's not something teacher-related on my to-do list. Maybe when I retire?

Wanting- I am ready to decorate my porch for Fall! This rain has ruined those plans, but I'm doing it today!

Needing- Being out on a Thursday and Friday and not being able to grab your grading bucket for the weekend really puts a damper on things. I'll get caught up eventually...

Boo-tiful- I'm not a huggy/feeling kind of person, but I just love it when my husband grabs my hand in public. Makes me smile :)

Have a good month!
