Five for Friday

This may or may not have been the longest week of my life. These next 12 days are probably going to be even longer. I'm so ready for summer, but I'm not ready to lose this group of kids. When I say that we laugh all day long, I mean it. They say somethings that make me smile from ear to ear. My favorite quote this week was: "Last week at my soccer game, I did a YOLO kick. I mean you only live once, right?" Love it. Since I'm going to be a coach's wife someday, I think I should patent this new move. "YOLO kick." I think I could make millions off that.

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her Five for Friday linky party!

You know when you meet a person and you just instantly know they are going to be your BFF. That's how Erin was for me. This girl is seriously my sister from another mister. A year ago she announced that her and her husband were moving to NYC. Although it was awesome visiting them in November, I am so glad to say THEY ARE BACK! You can't leave the Carolinas for too long, people! I am so excited to see them this weekend, so I had to post one of my favorite pictures of the two of us. If we're not laying out by the pool or singing theme songs, we're probably dancing.
Here's another one of my faves
Last week was an AWESOME week for my little Cupcakes and Bangles shop. I had fifty orders! 5-0. That's fifty hand-made-by-me bangles for some amazing customers. I'm working on a new type of bracelet that will hit my shop soon. Thanks for all of the orders friends! I think a big 50 bangle sale calls for a giveaway (see the bottom!)

Oh limerick writing... you are so funny. And hard. We spent two whole days working on rhyming and couplets. I'm glad I did though because it made limerick writing a little easier. It's so tough for second graders to think of a sentence that makes sense and ends with a word that rhymes with the sentence before it. I had a lot of "My cat sat on a bat hat." Awesome start, but let's look at stretching the sentence more. Here's one limerick that I thought was cute. I had a lot of great ones this week that made me giggle!

I have to mention the fabulous mother's day I had on Sunday to start off my week. I talk to my mom every morning and every night. She is always there for me for everything. I owe her the world. We had pedicures together and I took her to my favorite bakery, Amelie's. I sure do love my mom. I think everyday should be Mother's Day!

Today was our annual JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Walk. Classes raised money for Juvenile Diabetes by "selling" shoes for people to write their name on. My class raised about $100. We are super proud of our hard work!

I promised a giveaway and here it is! The winner will receive their choice of a bangle from my Etsy store. I will notify you on Monday if you win!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Mine will consist of two kickball games, a soccer game, grilling out with friends, and seeing some of my students in their ballet!
