March Surely Does Come In Like a Lion

I had the best weekend ever because I spent it in the most magical place ever- DISNEY WORLD! We had such a great trip, but it was way too short! We stayed in a nice resort and couldn't even find time to enjoy the amenities. We were at the parks for over 12 hours on both Friday and Saturday, so needless to say we were exhausted come Sunday. Then Monday rolls along and I beebop my way into my classroom expecting my kids to be holding hands, singing songs, cleaning up the classroom... when suddenly I realize that I'm back in the real world and I'm doing *clap clap clapclapclap* every 5 minutes.. I will say that their welcome back hugs are better than any 45 minute wait for the Astro Orbiter (am I right, Mr. R?) It warmed my heart that they missed me and hate that I'll be leaving them again this Thursday and Friday for school leadership training.

Anyways, since it's a new month, that means there is a new currently! And boy am I excited for this month. There is SO much to do, but I'm ready for the challenge.

Here's my link up with Oh Boy It's Farley!

Listening- My number one guilty pleasure is reality TV. I can't help getting sucked into these overly-dramatic shows. My newest show is Little Women- Atlanta. Mr .R always talks about how terrible these shows are, but he always seems to be sitting on the couch the exact moment of the fight. I know he is secretly interested in the drama.

Loving- I am so excited for this month because we are closing on our first house! I can't wait to move and decorate our new home. We close on the 17th and I'm hoping for a smooth next few days.

Thinking- So about a year ago I was assigned a book to read by March 3, 2016. I remember some of the girls in my leadership class joking about how I should take it with me on my honeymoon. I remember telling myself that I would read it over Christmas break. Then I told myself I would read it on our snow weekend. And suddenly it's March 1 and I'm only 60 pages in. Why do I do this to myself?! At least the book will be fresh in my mind!

Wanting- We're working on the class book that my class publishes each year. It is SO much work but it's so worth it in the end. I am mailing everything tomorrow and can't wait to get it back all finished. They have worked super hard and I know the parents will love it. If you're interested in doing the same for your class, check out StudentTreasures Publishing. They send you everything you need and it is really a treat for the kids and the parents!

Needing- I need about 78 million dollars. The "to-buy" list keeps growing every time I turn around. I'm all like "ohhh look a new mirror" and Mr. R is like "honey, we NEED a fridge." But we NEED this cute Moroccan mirror too! #priorities

Poll site- I don't know where our new site will be! I know my old one is at a middle school. Walt, if you're reading this... I'm updating my voter registration as soon as we close. Promise.

I hope you all have a super month!

  2. One of my girls made a class book in her first grade class. We still treasure that book. She always loves to look back at all her friends! Your class will treasure the book too. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Aww, your class book idea sounds fabulous! I used to do a scrapbook for every student when I had a regular class. I hope all those kids still have those books I made! Have a great March!
